Over the past 18 months, I've taken up the challenge of sharing weekly reflections on Substack, drawing inspiration from the Parashah. The journey has been fulfilling, enriched by the positive responses and continuous encouragement from my mentors and our community.
While exploring and communicating divrei Torah through this platform, each post, whether a homerun or not, has been a product of substantial time and research. The aim is to produce content that is both fulfilling for me and impactful for you, the readers. I hope you find value and inspiration in these thoughts.
Now, it's time to take this challenge to the next level, and for that, I need your help.
Over the past four years, I've been sharing image quotes on social media under the name 'Insta Torah' @instatorah613. This account had garnered over 3500 followers and hundreds of posts before it was abruptly deactivated. Despite its unexpected end, I consider the journey to have been a successful one.
Unfortunately, all content was deleted by Instagram without an explanation. The lack of customer service from Meta has left me puzzled and disappointed about this matter.
The initial aim was to apply my graphic design skills, which I had developed during a course at the start of the pandemic. Although professional opportunities were scarce, I was determined to keep these skills sharp. This journey showcased my ability to manage an account and create engaging content, which ultimately led to an opportunity with Mosaica Press. I was entrusted with their advertising and marketing portfolio, which included creating graphics for their social media.
Following the unexpected termination of the Insta Torah account, I've decided to pivot. Instead of continuing with the Insta Torah branding, I've decided to consolidate it under my name, Shui Haber, which is the origin of all the content. More importantly, I plan to compile these inspiring quotes and ideas into a book, with the working title “Pick Me Up”, where each quote will be accompanied by my personal interpretation and application.
These thoughts will initially be shared on my Substack. However, to transform these into a tangible book and sustain this endeavour, I will introduce a paywall. This paywall serves a dual purpose: a) to garner support for the upcoming publication, and b) to inspire me to rise to the challenge, knowing that your investment depends on it.
If you find these posts meaningful or wish to support my work, I invite you to subscribe today at
Please note, my weekly Parashah posts will continue to be free on Substack, but any post older than a month will only be available behind the paywall.
Your support means the world to me. Thank you.
Shui
Note: I have paused the paywall until further notice mainly due to lack of interest.
