This Thought is Still Percolating, but Some Food for Thought for Shabbos
Unfortunately, I am unable to write a proper post this week. What I wanted to explore was the connection between the machlokes of the sun and the moon, which led to the diminishing of the moon—a condition that will be restored with the arrival of Mashiach. I also wanted to connect this to the machlokes of Korach, who was swallowed by the ground and will also return.
My intention was to link this idea to the Haftara for Shabbos Rosh Chodesh and to Rav Soloveitchik's essay on Rosh Chodesh1, culminating in a practical lesson for today.
Hopefully, I can work on this over Shabbos. If anyone has insights that might be helpful, please feel free to comment below or respond to this email. I would love to crowdsource some ideas and perspectives.
